According to Sky Germany, Atlético Madrid have reached an agreement in principle with Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin to sign 22-year-old Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha.
Hertha BSC have accepted an offer of around €30 million plus bonuses from the Spanish side – however, nothing is in writing yet.
Per the report, Premier League side Everton tried to hijack the deal at the 11th hour but Cunha would rather play in La Liga with Atlético Madrid.
If things go as planned, Cunha could travel to Madrid midweek where he will then undergo a medical and sign a contract.
