Werder Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann has confirmed the Bundesliga club are not an option for former attacker Max Kruse, who wants a new challenge.
“We have been dealing with his in the past week but he wants to do something different,” said Baumann.
“For Max, other things are more important than a familiar environment. He is looking for a new challenge.”
The 32-year-old is available on a free transfer after he terminated his contract with Fenerbahçe over unpaid waged. Both Hertha Berlin and Union Berlin have shown an interest in Kruse.
