PSV and Augsburg agree deal for defender Philipp Max

Kicker report that Dutch side PSV and Augsburg have agreed a deal for left-back Philipp Max.

The initial fee is around €8 million but will likely rise to around €10 million due to bonus payments. Augsburg will also receive a future fee if Max is re-sold by PSV.

The left-sided player is currently travelling to Eindhoven for his medical before the transfer can be completed.

The acquisition will become PSV’s second from the Bundesliga this summer after they signed RB Leipzig goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo on loan a few weeks back.

The Dutch club’s participation in the Europa League during the upcoming season was one of the main reasons as to why Max was happy to negotiate a deal to PSV.
