Schalke have this afternoon confirmed the signing of 36-year-old striker Vedad Ibišević on a one-year contract.
The Bosnian joins the Royal Blues on a free transfer after his contract with Hertha BSC expired in the summer.
“Vedad is a real boost to our squad. He is an experienced goalscorer, who is still hungry to play in every Bundesliga game,” said sporting director Jochen Schneider.
“Vedad impressed us with his attitude during our conversations. He still wants to play football at the highest level and everybody knows his qualities. We are looking forward to working together.”
