OGC Nice Director of Football Julien Fournier has denied interest in signing Borussia Dortmund attacker Mario Götze, who is available on a free transfer this summer.
“I read that too and I don’t know where it comes from,” Fournier told Sport1. “Mario Götze is certainly an interesting player. However, we were never in contact with him or his advisors. We also never had the ambition to bring him here.”
Hertha Berlin, AC Milan and AS Roma have all shown an interest in signing the World Cup winner, with a move abroad more likely should he depart Bourssia Dortmund.
