FC Köln are expected to make a decision on Lokomotiv Moscow defender Benedikt Höwedes on Wednesday, according to Kicker.
The 31-year-old wants a return to Germany and whilst Köln are searching for a new defender, negotiations between the clubs are too far apart when it comes to a loan or permanent transfer.
Per the report, Höwedes would be willing to take a pay cut.
