Bayern Munich have informed Manuel Neuer of the club’s plans to sign Schalke goalkeeper Alexander Nübel on a free transfer.
According to Sky Germany, Neuer has told Bayern bosses that he doesn’t want to share his playing time and that it isn’t an option for the Germany international.
Bayern are expected to sign Nübel in the summer after recent negotiations but are also hopeful of Neuer signing a contract extension.
The Bundesliga champions don’t want to make the same mistake of replacing Arjen Robben and Franck Ribéry late on in their careers and so they’re already looking to build for the future.
