Liverpool won’t meet Bayern Munich’s €30m asking price for Thiago

According to Fabrizio Romano of The Guardian, Liverpool are not willing to pay Bayern Munich’s €30 million valuation of the 29-year-old Spanish midfielder Thiago.

The Premier League club absolutely want to sign Thiago but Bayern will not budge on their €30m asking price. Per the report, all transfer discussions are on hold until after their involvement in the Champions League tournament has ended.

Thiago has one-year remaining on his Bayern Munich contract and it’s extremely unlikely the Spain international will sign an extension. If he doesn’t leave this summer, Thiago is free to sign a pre-contract with another club in January.
