According to Kicker, Premier League club Leicester City are interested in signing 24-year-old German defender Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen.
The Germany international has a €40 million exit clause but per the Telegraph, cited by Kicker, Bayer Leverkusen loaning Tah to Leicester City with a subsequent purchase option could be a possibility.
Head of Senior Recruitment at Leicester City, Lee Congerton, worked with Tah during his time at Hamburg technical director between 2011 and 2014. Tah is at the top of Leicester’s wish list alongside 19-year-old Saint-Étienne defender Wesley Fofana.
Per the report, the focus of Bayer Leverkusen is strengthening their squad, not losing further players following the departures of Kevin Volland and Kai Havertz.
