Leeds United interested in signing Robin Koch (Freiburg)

According to The Telegraph, Leeds United are keen to bring 24-year-old Freiburg defender Robin Koch to Elland Road this summer.

With the Yorkshire side struggling to make a move for Brighton youngster Ben White permanent, the club are said to view German international Koch as their preferred back-up choice.

Transfermarkt reported earlier this summer that Koch has little interest in signing a new deal with the Bundesliga outfit and is also being courted by the likes of Lazio and Tottenham. Freiburg sporting director Klemens Hartenbach has previously confirmed the defender’s intentions to leave the club this summer.

The ball-playing centre-back, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, has 82 Bundesliga appearances to his name and has featured twice for the German national side. His last international appearance coming in a 4-0 win over Belarus in November 2019.
