Kevin-Prince Boateng wanted Hertha Berlin return: “I would have called Götze and Draxler.”

Speaking to Der Spiegel, Kevin-Prince Boateng revealed that he wrote to now former Hertha Berlin head coach Jürgen Klinsmann about returning to the Bundesliga club in the winter.

“In the summer I would have simply taken the phone and called [Mario] Götze and [Julian] Draxler and said ‘Come here, boys. Let’s build something up here.’ It was my plan that I could make Hertha attractive again,” said Boateng.

On loan at Besiktas, Boateng played for Hertha BSC between 2005 and 2007 before joining Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur in an €8m transfer.
