Kai Havertz wants to make the next step – Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro

Speaking to Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro has confirmed that 21-year-old attacker Kai Havertz wants to take the next step, with several clubs interested in signing the Germany international.

“It was always clear that we will have talks once the Europa League season concluded,” said Carro. “Kai has voiced his desire to make the next step. At the moment, I can’t say whether this will work out in the near future or not.”

Havertz has played 150 games in all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring 46 and creating 31.
