According to RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, a five-year provisional contract agreement has been reached between Kai Havertz and Chelsea.
The Premier League club remain optimistic of completing a deal for 20-year-old Bayer Leverkusen attacker Havertz and believe the key to closing this deal is reaching an agreement with the Bundesliga club is with a staggered payment structure.

Bayer Leverkusen Managing Director Rudi Völler told Gazzetta dello Sport that Chelsea must pay their valuation of Havertz, which is around €100 million.
The 60-year-old also reiterated that Chelsea will receive no Covid-19 discount and if they don’t reach an agreement, Havertz will remain at the Bundesliga club.
