Hertha Berlin search for new head coach: “Niko Kovač will get many offers, nationally & internationally.”

Hertha Berlin are searching for a successor to Jürgen Klinsmann, who resigned as head coach of the Bundesliga club on Tuesday after a lack of backing.

Sporting director Michael Preetz is currently looking for a new head coach, with Niko Kovač being heavily linked.

“Everyone knows that Niko is someone who was born in Berlin and who played for Hertha BSC. He has done a great job in the Bundesliga for the past three-and-a-half years, first at Eintracht Frankfurt and then at Bayern Munich,” Preetz told Sky Germany.

“Everyone knows that Niko was a very successful trainer with the German record champions. He will therefore certainly get many offers, national and internationally.”
