Discussing a potential return to Werder Bremen, Franco Di Santo would be open to a return to the Bundesliga club, whom he left for Schalke in 2015.
“I have always said that I have a special bond with Bremen. It was my first club in Germany and when I was at Schalke and I was asked, I always said Bremen is my club. It would be a pleasure for me to come back to Werder. The memories are very beautiful, both the team and the club for me personally. A call from Frank Baumann is always welcome,” Di Santo told Weser-Kurier.
The 31-year-old is currently at Brazilian club Atlético Mineiro, where he has a contract until the end of the year.
