FC Köln want to sign Mark Uth on a permanent deal following a successful loan spell from Schalke.
The 28-year-old has a contract with Schalke until 2022 but has scored four and created four since joining Köln in January on a six-month loan deal.
“We want to keep Mark with us beyond this season,” sporting director Horst Heldt told Bild. “He has blossomed here, is recognised and is an excellent footballer.”
Schalke want a fee close to €10 million for Uth but with the ongoing health crisis, financial restraints will see football clubs across Europe part with more money, and so Köln may look at extending his loan deal.
