Erling Braut Haaland on Youssoufa Moukoko: “He’s much better than I was at his age.”

Speaking after Borussia Dortmund’s 5-2 win at Hertha Berlin, 20-year-old BVB attacker Erling Braut Haaland hailed 16-year-old Youssoufa Moukoko as the world’s biggest talent.

“I would love to play alongside him,” said Haaland. “I think he’s the biggest talent in the world right now. He’s 16 years and one day old, that’s amazing. He has a big career ahead of him. We’re lucky to have him. He’s much better than I was at his age.”

Moukoko made his Borussia Dortmund and Bundesliga debut on Saturday evening, replacing the Norwegian at just 16 years and one day old.

The German U20 international has scored 13 goals in four games for Borussia Dortmund’s youth team this season and already has 141 goals in 88 games for BVB’s youth teams.

Borussia Dortmund’s Sebastian Kehl recently told Kicker: “This is a big step for him, a process. We have to give him the necessary peace and time. His path is only just beginning.”
