The Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) has announced that they’ve lowered the minimum age requirement to play in the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga to 16.
The change will take effect from the 2020/21 season.
Borussia Dortmund had been one from a number of clubs that had called on the DFL to lower the minimum age to 16.
