Schalke defender Jonjoe Kenny is likely to return to Everton at the end of the season, according to Sky Germany.
The 23-year-old joined the Bundesliga club on loan in the summer and has become a prominent figure in the Schalke defence.
However, due to financial restraints with the current health crisis, Schalke are unlikely going to be able to spend any significant transfer fees in the upcoming window.
Schalke head coach David Wagner: “It looks like we don’t have the financial strength to buy him.”
