Borussia Dortmund close in on Reinier (Real Madrid) loan

Borussia Dortmund are close to completing the singing of Real Madrid attacker Reinier on a one-year loan deal with the option to extend for a further season, according to Goal.

The deal will not include a future option to buy clause for the 18-year-old attacking midfielder, who is considered one of the hottest young prospects in the world and would considerably bolster Dortmund’s attacking line up ahead of the new Bundesliga campaign.

Reinier joined Real Madrid from Flamengo for around €27 million in January this year but is yet to make a first team appearance for Los Blancos. The attacker has six Brazil U23 caps to his name.

“We want to borrow him,” Favre told Sport1. “But it’s not done yet. It’s in the pipeline. He’s a nine-and-a-half and can also play as a false striker and on the wing. From what I’ve seen, he’s very good offensively and a very, very good finisher.”
