Benjamin Henrichs completes RB Leipzig medical

AS Monaco defender Benjamin Henrichs is expected to complete his move to RB Leipzig after completing his medical check on Tuesday.

According to Kicker, the 23-year-old will join the Bundesliga club on a season-long loan whilst RB Leipzig have an option to purchase Henrichs for a fee reported to be around €15 million.

The Germany international has a contract with AS Monaco until 2023 after joining the French outfit from Bayer Leverkusen in 2018 but after failing to impress, Henrichs will join RB Leipzig.

Even with the arrival of Henrichs and both Lukas Klostermann and Nordi Mukiele being able to play in central defence, this move will not have an effect of Dayot Upamecano’s future with Julian Nagelsmann’s side.
