Bayern Munich will allow Thiago to leave

Bayern Munich will allow Thiago Alcântara to leave the Bundesliga club in the summer if they find a suitable buyer, according to Bild.

With just one-year remaining on his Bayern contract, they hope to earn around €30 million from the sale of Thiago, with Liverpool and Manchester United reportedly interested in signing the Spaniard.

Jürgen Klopp could imagine himself working with Thiago and despite there being no contact as of yet, Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has conceded that the 29-year-old is likely to leave the club.

“We negotiated seriously with him and fulfilled all of his wishes,” Rummenigge told Bild. “But it looks like he may want to do something new at the end of his career. We’ve never had any contact with Liverpool. If he wants that, we’ll have to deal with it. We don’t want to lose a player for free next year.”
