Bayer Leverkusen will not sign a Kai Havertz replacement

Speaking prior to Bayer Leverkusen’s fixture against Wolfsburg, managing director Rudi Völler has reiterated that the Bundesliga club will not sign a replacement for Kai Havertz.

“We can absorb the Havertz exit with our other players but we may still make one or two transfers,” said Völler.

Völler also confirms that the Bundesliga club aren’t pursuing Mario Götze on a free transfer: “Mario was never really an option with us.”
