According to Sport1, Bayer Leverkusen enquired about former player Julian Brandt this summer, which was swiftly rejected by Borussia Dortmund.
BVB head coach Lucien Favre has made it clear that they’re looking to strengthen their squad and therefore, the departure of Germany international Brandt would be extremely unlikely.
The 24-year-old lost his place to Giovanni Reyna and Jude Bellingham in their 3-0 win against Borussia Mönchengladbach but remains a key component in Favre’s squad.
