Schalke 04 remain hopeful of keeping 22-year-old defender Jonjoe Kenny after impressing on a loan spell.
“We’re happy to have him. He fits in well at Schalke, not only as a player, but also as a person. I hope that we have a chance of keeping him for longer,” sporting director Jochen Schneider told Sport Bild.
On loan from Everton, Kenny has featured in all nine Bundesliga games for Schalke this season, impressing in the Revierderby against Borussia Dortmund.
