Mainz 05 sporting director Rouven Schröder has ruled out a move for 22-year-old Torino central defender Lyanco, according to Kicker.
The Bundesliga club are looking to strengthen their defence while the Brazilian – who spent last season on loan at Bologna – was on their wish list.
“This is a typical case of a player who is in a category too high for us,” said Schröder.
