Speaking to Kicker, former Arsenal and Germany defender Per Mertesacker discussed interim Bayern Munich head coach Hansi Flick and why his contribution to Germany’s 2014 World Cup win is underrated.
“His contribution to our World Cup win is underrated,” said Mertesacker. “Hansi brings the players together, he has that ability to a degree I’ve never experienced before. With him it’s about little ego and a lot of team spirit.”
