Wolfsburg have announced the contract extension of Dutchman Wout Weghorst until 2023.
“This is another bit of good news for all VfL fans. Wout has continued the development he started at AZ Alkmaar with consistently good performances this season. On top of that, he embodies passion and commitment on the pitch. With that mentality, he’s an excellent fit for VfL Wolfsburg, which is why we’re delighted to have tied him down,” said sporting director Marcel Schäfer.
Following his €10.5m transfer from AZ Alkmaar last summer, the 26-year-old has scored 17 goals in 34 Bundesliga appearances.
