Schalke 04 have concluded the signing of 18-year-old Manchester City winger Rabbi Matondo on a 4.5-year deal, the club has confirmed.
Although he joins for an undisclosed fee, this is believed to be €10 million while Manchester City have a €55m buy-back clause should they wish to exercise that, according to Bild.
Sporting director Christian Heidel: “We are delighted that in the last few weeks we have been able to convince Rabbi that signing for us is the correct decision. We are happy that he has chosen to be part of the future we are planning at Schalke.”
