Bayern Munich have announced the departure of 22-year-old midfielder Renato Sanches to Lille for an undisclosed fee believed to be €20 million including bonuses.
The Portugal international has signed a four-year contract with the Ligue 1 club, bringing his three year stay at Bayern Munich to an end.
Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: “Renato asked us for the transfer because he wanted to join a club where he gets continuous game time. Unfortunately, we could not guarantee that at Bayern. Match practice is important to him because he wants to secure a place with the national team at Euro 2020.”
