Werder Bremen have announced the signing of 30-year-old Borussia Dortmund defender Ömer Toprak on a season-long loan.
The Bundesliga club have the option to purchase Toprak for €6m.
“Ömer is a centre-back with pace, who has played at the highest level for several years. We are very glad that he has chosen Werder. He played very well in the recent Supercup tie against Bayern and can be an asset to us,” said head coach Florian Kohfeldt.
