Official | Erik Durm joins Eintracht Frankfurt on 4-year contract

Erik Durm has signed a four-year deal with Eintracht Frankfurt after his contract at Huddersfield Town expired.

The 27-year-old defender featured 30 times for the then Premier League club.

“I’ve been given a great welcome. There’s a real family atmosphere and I’ve been welcomed with open arms. The city of Frankfurt is great too. Everything’s perfect so far,” said Durm.

“My favourite position is left-back. I don’t mind whether that’s in a back four or back five. I’ve played half my games on the right, so I’m versatile. It sounds silly but it’s true – I’ll play where the coach needs me.”

“Jürgen Klopp turned me into a full-back. I was originally an attacker and scored a lot of goals, but Klopp explained that I had potential as a full-back because of my pace and work-rate. It turned out to be a good decision!”
