Borussia Mönchengladbach have completed the signing of 22-year-old Schalke forward Breel Embolo on a four-year contract.
The Switzerland international joins Marco Rose at Gladbach for an undisclosed fee, believed to be €16m in total, including bonuses, according to Bild.
“We’ve known about Breel for a number of years and obviously continued to monitor him at Schalke. We’re convinced that he can make a fresh start here and that we will enjoy watching him in Borussia colours. He is a quick, powerful and deadly forward who fits our squad very well,” said sporting director Max Eberl.
