Negotiations between Schalke and Serie A club Atalanta have intensified regarding the transfer of 24-year-old defender Robin Gosens, according to Sky Germany.
The Bundesliga club has shown an interest in the left-back for a number of weeks and with the likely departure of Hamza Mendyl, it’s an area that Schalke bosses are keen to strengthen.
Gosens has entered the final year of his contract with Atalanta while RevierSport suggests that the German would be open to a move to Schalke.
