Liverpool are in advanced talks to sign Bayern Munich target Takumi Minamino, who has a £7.25 million release clause in current contract, according to The Guardian. The European champions are discussing a five-year contract for the forward.
Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille also have an interest in acquiring the services of the Japan international but it appears that Liverpool have beaten both to the signature of the 24-year-old.
The Premier League club believe that Minamino’s market value is closer to £20m whilst the forward has also been tracked by Borussia Mönchengladbach, Manchester United and AC Milan in recent weeks.
