Julian Weigl has ruled out a contract extension beyond 2021 and is therefore likely to leave Borussia Dortmund, according to regional outlet Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung (WAZ).
This coincides with a report by Correio da Manhãon via Zach Lowy on Monday evening that Benfica have been in talks with the Bundesliga club to sign Weigl for €20 million.
Borussia Dortmund are holding out for a fee closer to €35m if they are to sell Weigl during the January transfer window. As well as Benfica, Inter Milan are also interested in signing the 23-year-old.
