Speaking to Sky Germany, Joachim Löw hasn’t ruled out the possibility of Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels returning to the national team following the injury to Niklas Süle.
“This is not a topic at the moment. I said that I am betting on young players and you have to throw them in at the deep end. One should not throw all plans now out of the window, just because this or that player is injured,” said Löw.
“It’s hard to make definite predictions in football. I have no idea what next year will bring and in the end, the team’s success always comes first.”
