Bild report that Bundesliga strugglers Fortuna Düsseldorf have opened formal negotiations with Sampdoria regarding the transfer of Poland international Dawid Kownacki.
The 21-year-old has found playing time hard to come by at the Serie A club this season while reports earlier in the week suggest the Bundesliga club may look to make a loan move for Kownacki.
His adviser, Marcin Kubacki, confirmed the German sides interest, and that negotiations are underway.
