Bayern Munich’s Rafinha: “Recently the coach [Niko Kovac] is not being respectful to me.”

In an interview with Bild, Bayern Munich defender Rafinha has expressed his concern about lack of playing time ahead of their Champions League second leg against Liverpool.

“Recently the coach is not being respectful to me. I bring my performance in training. It’s hard for me to motivate myself. I train well, but I don’t play any part [in matches].

“I’m sad because I was not allowed to play the fourth game in a row. I’m a good player, but I can not show it. If you do not get a minute, it’s hard to be there (in the second leg against Liverpool). I hope I get minutes in the next two weeks. I just want to play.

“I played for Heynckes, Ancelotti, Guardiola. I have no idea what the reason is. The coach knows that I will go at the end of the season. Maybe that’s the reason.

“Maybe Ancelotti, Heynckes and Guardiola have no idea about football, because I’ve always played for them. I played with Niko in the first half of the season, but not anymore now, I don’t know what’s up. I’m really disappointed.”

It’s also worth noting that although the above was said, Futbolgrad journalist Manuel Veth, who was in the mixed zone, suggests that Rafinha wasn’t as upset as made out.
