Bayern Munich open with €80m offer for Manchester City’s Leroy Sané

Bayern Munich have submitted an opening €80 million bid to Manchester City for 23-year-old forward Leroy Sané, according to Fabrizio Romano.

This comes after both Bayern President Uli Hoeneß and CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge both confirmed their interest in the Germany international.

The Bundesliga club are looking to strengthen their wide areas with both Franck Ribéry and Arjen Robben leaving the club at the end of the season.

Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolò Schira has since suggested that Bayern Munich have offered Sané a five-year contract worth €10m per season.

With the future of Sané still uncertain, ESPN are now reporting that Manchester City are set for talks with the Germany international in order to persuade the forward to sign a contract extension with the Premier League club.
