Schalke have reached a €16m agreement with Bayern Munich for the transfer of 28-year-old Germany midfielder Sebastian Rudy, according to WAZ.
It looks as though the drawn out transfer saga may soon come to an end with Schalke likely to sign Rudy in the coming days, although nothing is yet officially signed, report Kicker.
RB Leipzig pulled out of the race to sign the Germany international to pursue priority target Ademola Lookman.
Following Bayern’s 3-1 win over Hoffenheim on Friday night, Rudy effectively confirmed a transfer away from the Bundesliga champions.
“The chances of me staying are thin. I know roughly where I’m going,” he told Kicker.
