Schalke 04 are interested in Augsburg left-back Philipp Max, according to Kicker.
A stumbling block for the Bundesliga club is that Chelsea are also interested in signing the 22-year-old, while scouts from both Manchester City and Manchester United watched Max in December.
Max has featured in all 17 Bundesliga games for Augsburg this season, assisting 10 goals from full-back, which puts him top of the charts.
