Arsenal have announced the signing of Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis.
The 30-year-old has signed a long-term deal with the club, with multiple reports suggesting he’s been handed a three-year contract with the option to extend by a further year.
“Arsenal is one of the three biggest teams in the Premier League. And a very big club that has a lot of fans and a very big history. I’m very happy that for the next years I will be here to help the team,” said Sokratis.
Arriving for a fee believed to be just less than €20 million, Borussia Dortmund have already found their replacement in Frenchman Abdou Diallo, who arrived from Mainz last week.
