Matthias Sammer could be set for a return to Borussia Dortmund, according to WAZ.
Speaking to the German outlet, Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said: “We need someone like Matthias Sammer. His analysis, his passion, identification, and clear view from the outside.”
The former Dortmund player will act as an external consultant while stating that Sammer is someone he’s been trying to acquire for some time.
Watzke went on to say that Sammer’s willingness to return to the club is very high, but talks have not yet been finalised.
