Manchester United make approach for Jérôme Boateng

Manchester United have made a concrete approach to Bayern Munich regarding the transfer of Jérôme Boateng, according to Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk.

The Germany international now looks almost certain to leave Bayern Munich for a reported €50m-€60m but his destination remains unclear, with Arsenal & Paris Saint-Germain showing an interest.

It also appears that Boateng is not Jose Mourinho’s priority, with Toby Alderweireld (Tottenham Hotspur) and Harry Maguire (Leicester City) also on Manchester United’s shortlist.

It’s been widely reported throughout German press this summer that the 29-year-old would be allowed to leave Bayern Munich should they receive a substantial offer.

Bild also note that Boateng’s preferred destination appears to be Ligue 1 outfit, PSG.

It’s been widely reported that Boateng wants one last huge contract & so the only thing that may keep him at Bayern Munich would be a salary more than €15m.
