Jerome Boateng allowed to leave Bayern Munich for the right price

A report by Bild suggests that Niklas Süle will replace Jerome Boateng next season should the Germany international leave Bayern Munich.

Süle joined the Bundesliga champions in July & has since impressed Bayern bosses with his performances when deputising for the injured Boateng, who has made it known in the past that he could be open to a move away, according to Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

“Basically it is not out of the world. His advisor (Christian Nerlinger) also made this known to me. We therefore know that the issue may come to us. When a club want him and he announces that he wants to join this club, we will consider it,” Rummenigge told Bild.

The timing certainly seems odd given Boateng is on international duty with Germany at the World Cup, the 29-year-old was asked his opinion during a press conference in Russia.

“That is not an issue right now. It’s about the World Cup now. I do not know why these statements were made. We are here in the national team, there is a World Cup. Everything else is not an issue for me. I’ll say it: I’m just concentrating on the World Cup,” said Boateng.
