Franck Ribéry in altercation with pundit Patrick Guillou

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić has confirmed Franck Ribéry has had an altercation with compatriot and beIN Sports pundit Patrick Guillou.

Speaking to Bild, Salihamidžić said: “Franck Ribery has informed us that he had an altercation with his countrymen Patrick Guillou, whom he has known for many years. We have agreed with Patrick Guillou on Saturday that we will hold a timely meeting to discuss how to clear up the matter for good. Mr. Guillou has already signalled his interest.”

It’s been alleged by the outlet that Ribéry had slapped and pushed Guillou after he criticised the Frenchman’s performance against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

EDIT: It has since been reported by Kicker that a meeting took place at Säbener Straße on Wednesday – Ribéry has since apologised to Guillou following his actions while no further actions are expected to be taken.
