Borussia Mönchengladbach could activate Diogo Leite’s exit clause

Borussia Mönchengladbach are looking at strengthening their defence with the club hopeful of acquiring the services of 19-year-old Diogo Leite, as reported by Portuguese sports paper Record & confirmed by Kicker.

The report suggests Leite has a €15 million exit clause in his contract with FC Porto, which expires in June 2021 while the departure of Jannik Vestergaard to Southampton has paved the way for a new defensive arrival.

Mönchengladbach aren’t the only club interested in Leite, with many of Europe’s elite said to be monitoring the defender as Arsenal, Liverpool & Premier League champions Manchester City all look to be interested in the Portuguese defender.
