Borussia Dortmund and Lucien Favre reach agreement

Borussia Dortmund and Lucien Favre have reached an agreement, the Swiss coach will swap OGC Nice for Germany in the summer, according to Sky Germany.

Dortmund bosses wanted Favre to take over from Thomas Tuchel before the 2017/18 season but his unavailability resulted in Ajax’s Peter Bosz being appointed before being replaced by Peter Stöger.

Despite a contract until 2019, Favre is expected to leave Ligue 1 outfit Nice, with Dortmund paying a compensation fee reportedly around €3 million.

Sascha Fligge, director of media and communications in Dortmund told Sky: “We do not comment on speculation.”
