Atlético Madrid have offered Lucas Hernández to double his current salary following interest from Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, according to Sky.
The France international currently earns €3 million per year in Spain while Bayern are reportedly offering Hernández €8.5m per season with the Bundesliga club ready to pay his €85m release clause, per numerous reports this past week.
On Thursday, Atlético executive director Miguel Angel Gil Marin told Spox: “The player cannot leave Atletico Madrid in this winter transfer window. We have a good relationship with Bayern and will meet with them in January to evaluate the situation. If the player wants to leave we will talk about it – but only about a transfer in July.”
